Tears ain’t Enough

I visited the Cape Coast Castle in Ghana and I saw the way slavery crept into the Africa continent.

Like a virus, or let me say a cancer, slavery eats up and destroyed the integrity, culture, pride, and future of an entire race: The Black Race.

At the castle, the curator at the museum spoke about how my ancestor where treated lesser than animals. They were betrayed by the very leader they entrusted with their lives.

I now understand why Michelle Obama cried when she came to the castle in the year 2009. She heard the pain, the agony, the darkness and evil her ancestors passed through before Martin Luther King Jr. gave the “I Have a Dream Speech”, and Michelle Wept!

This is just a prelude to my series: Tears ain’t Enough!

Slavery started with weaknesses in character. Because of greed, African chiefs sold their people to get mirror, tobacco etc… Still that same greed is still why Africa remain underdeveloped.

The whiteman came with his wiles, tricks like the devil in the Garden of Eden and lured entire race into Slavery.

I am never a racist but truth has no other name; the effect of slavery is still visible for us all to see even after it has been abolish.

Is slavery truly abolish?
